Lindsey & Lexi ~Central Illinois Photographer~

Lindsey was kind enough to let me come out to photograph her and her horse, Lexi.  In a previous life, I lived and breathed horses, and now that passion has been directed towards being a mommy & photographer.

Lexi is a gorgeous black & white paint, with quite a bit of spunk in her 10 year old bones.  Lindsey & her husband Clint own a little chunk of property right on Lake Taylorville, so the sunsets are something that photographers dream about.  Add a horse into the mix, and this photographer was in heaven.  Here's a link to her gallery; I'm absolutely in love with their pictures!  Between the sunset, Lindsey's willingness for whatever, and Lexi, it was the perfect combination.

I had posted a request on Facebook looking for a horse to photograph, and got lucky to have met Lindsey through some mutual friends.

Corrie & Family ~Decatur, Il photographer, Family photographer~

Mother nature was totally on our side last week for this session.  Great light in the fall is a family photographer's dream! While it was a bit cool, the colors were still awesome, and we had a perfect golden sunset to play with. To top off the day, I found a new spot that I’m absolutely in love with! To see more of this lovely family, head over to their gallery (and check out the classic faces I got from the littlest guy).

What do you think of the new spot!?

These boys were absolutely amazing to work with. Their smiles will brighten anyone’s day, and I loved getting natural smiles from both of them. We rocked their session, and had plenty of time to play in the leaves during and after. There were several awesome shots, but these are my favorites.

Kaitlyn ~high school senior, St. Theresa, Decatur, Il Photographer~

Where do I start with this chick!  She was so laid back and cool with whatever I asked her to do.  Our original day was rained out, but luckily last week was gorgeous!  We started out the day downtown for a quick session before heading out to Rock Springs.  Kaitlyn specifically wanted to get the fall colors incorporated into her senior pictures, so that's what we made sure to do!  Check out her gallery!

This arch used to be all red's, golds, and yellow ivy with this awesome teal door. Luckily, there was still enough color and awesome light to create some gorgeous images.

Every so often, I feel an "ah ha" moment occur.  And that happened when I clicked the shutter on this image.  I knew immediately it could possibly become one of my favorite images I've ever taken.

The Kelly Wedding ~Decatur, Il Wedding Photographer~

Can I say how much I'm in love with this whole day?  I've know Ashley & Jesse for years, and was so honored to be a part of the day, even if I slightly twisted Ashley's arm into having me at the courthouse.  I'm so glad we decided to go ahead and have me participate.  Here's the link to their gallery!  I hope you love them as much as I do!

I need it to go on the record, that dad/groom, Jesse, actually thanked me for photographing the day (on Facebook, even!).  I'm telling you camera-phobic men, we really do enjoy our day together,  and most guys end up having a good time and enjoying their pictures afterwards.

All wedding days are meticulously planned.  The timeline, poses, locations, images, and details are all carefully thought out (and not just wedding, all family sessions!).

The Kiebs Family ~Decatur, Il Family Photographer~

This was the first family to book me through the new site, so I was super excited that the website was doing some of the work it was supposed to do.  These girls could not be cuter, and mom had everyone so well coordinated.  I'm in love with their style for the day.  Here's a link to the gallery of the days' images.  I hope you all are bringing the fur family if you have them at home!  They are always welcome!

The day started perfect albeit cloudy.  Fortunately, the girls were fabulous at taking pictures, so we flew through the first location.  Look at how perfect this family photographs!

Towards the end of the session, we got rained out, but still pushed through to get a few more.  You can actually see the rain in a few of the pics!
