Easton’s Newborn Session~Decatur, Il Photographer~ Newborn Photographer~

I'm in love with Easton's session.  He slept practically the whole time, and didn't mind one bit that I messed with him to get him posed until the very end (picture below).  As a plus, I was able to use two of my newest props, and the results could not be cuter!  AND, he didn't pee on me the whole session (that NEVER happens!) Which images are your favorite?  I'm thinking the teddy bear with matching bonnet is my favorite!  Check out his gallery here (he starts about halfway down on the page on the gray rug).

I'm sure it's hard to tell, but I updated my wood backdrop!  My dad and I spent many hours (mostly at Menards picking out the wood) putting together this new backdrop so I would have more room to work, and be able to fit bigger families on the backdrop.

Ryker’s 1st Birthday ~ Decatur, Il Photographer ~ Cake Smash ~

Alas!  After some massive computer problems (and minor meltdowns on my part) I'm finally back on track and getting everyone edited and uploaded.

Anyways, Ryker was amazingly expressive.  He was so intent on studying me for a significant part of his session.  You could see thoughts scrolling across his face as he decided whether or not he was going to like me.  My favorite was when he raised or furrowed his eyebrows in his debate.  Precious.  Check out his gallery here (about half way down on the page)!

About halfway through the session, he started leaning towards liking me.  I'd get a little smirk here and there, but put this kid in mommy or daddy's arms, and he was allllllll smiles and giggles.  It was adorable, but so infuriating when I wanted to steal those smiles for my camera!  Clearly, while he might be a serious kiddo when he meets new people,  he's an incredibly happy and content baby.

Cohen’s 6 month session ~Decatur, Il Photographer~ Milestone Photography~6 month session~

I love my milestone babies, it means I get to see you guys every few months!  Cohen first came to see me for his 3 month session- you guessed it, 3 months ago.  His mom and dad were residents of mine at the apartment complex I worked at years ago, and I was happy to see their little family growing.  Check out the gallery of Cohen's 6 month milestone session (he starts at the second picture).

Most 6 months old give me smiles without too many problems.  Like most kiddos, they eventually get tired of us trying to get them to smile, and write us off after about 45 mins.  I swear that all this kid did was smile the whole time (or play with Easter eggs, more on that later).  The one time he cried, he turned his tears into smiles in .2 seconds flat.

Waylon turns 1 ~1st birthday~ Decatur, Il Photographer~ Cake Smash~

This little guy has the bluest eyes.  I thought Gemma's eyes were gorgeous, but holy cow does he have some beauties!  LOVE!  Check out his gallery to see more from the day! Go down towards the bottom of the page to see where Waylon starts!

Waylon wasn't too impressed with my studio.  With kiddos not talking yet, most don't mind the studio, and some hate it.  Since he's already walking, he wanted to explore waaay more than he wanted to pose for pictures.  We managed to convince some smiles out of him with balloons, so of course, we have the quintessential crying pictures, but overall, he was a trooper (and let me feed him his bottle *heart melting*).

As with all of my one year sessions, we aim to get you pictures that you will love for a lifetime, and end the session with a cake smash.

Wren’s Newborn Session ~Decatur, Il Newborn Photographer~

I don't even know where to begin with Miss Wren, too many favorites!  This tiny little beauty with the coolest name did awesome for her sessions.  With this model call, I wanted to work on my beanbag poses, and Wren wanted little to do with it for quite a while.  Eventually, she slept (they all do, it just takes time!) and I did my thing, and walked away with some beautiful images.  Here's a link to the gallery that contains Wren's newborn pictures (hers starts on the second row).

It was really important to mom to incorporate a few elements into her newborn session.  First, the sisters were a must.  As with most kiddos, age 3-4 is a tough age, but big sis Jocelyn (3.5) rocked the session and bigger sis Jade held little Wren perfectly and helped convince JoJo to do the pictures.
