Waylon wasn’t too impressed with my studio.  With kiddos not talking yet, most don’t mind the studio, and some hate it.  Since he’s already walking, he wanted to explore waaay more than he wanted to pose for pictures.  We managed to convince some smiles out of him with balloons, so of course, we have the quintessential crying pictures, but overall, he was a trooper (and let me feed him his bottle *heart melting*).

As with all of my one year sessions, we aim to get you pictures that you will love for a lifetime, and end the session with a cake smash.  Waylon wasn’t terribly interested in smashing, so we let him play with balloons, and then mom smeared some cake on his face.  Tears ensued, and “it’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to” played in my head, as it does every session.  Let’s face it- they’re one!  I expect them, and embrace them.  It’s not like one year olds are always  rainbows and unicorns, right?!

Since we had thoroughly ticked Waylon off, we decided against the tub that we usually do bath time in after a cake smash.  I wish I had taken a picture of mom though, I’m pretty sure she had more cake on her from the snuggles Waylon was insisting on throughout the day.
