Time is flying.  Lightyears seem to go by while I sleep.  I photographed this couple in 2012 for their engagement session and their MARRIAGE.   Since then, I’ve photographed their full family, a pregnancy announcement, and their first child- Harper- newborn session.  There’s still a blog to come about the full circle I’ve photographed for the Miller’s.  It’s been such a joy watching them grow.  Check out Harper’s full session in the gallery (he starts on the second row)!

But this particular blog post is about Harper Douglas.  Harper must have the happiest parents, because I swear this kid knows nothing but how to smile.    Every time he smiled, he threw his whole body into it.  Lane (dad) was sitting right next to me doing who knows what, but it makes Harper incredibly happy while I had mom sitting next to him making sure he didn’t topple over.  Look at those smiles we got last Sunday!

Six months olds are fickle little creatures.  They’re usually predictable, so we usually can get good smiles.  We love for them to be able to sit up, but they’re usually not superb at balancing their noggins.  Most babes aren’t thrilled with tummy time, and would just rather roll over, making our jobs more difficult.  Needless to say, mom and dad are usually on their toes for the whole session since I’m behind the camera.  They are some of my favorite sessions though, so keep bringing those babies to me!
