There is SO much to say about this amazing day. First of all- I sweated all week because of the torrential amounts of rain we were supposed to have. Did we see rain? Not a drop once our day started, thank goodness! The day ended up being gorgeous!
Jackie’s attention to details was evident throughout the wedding day. Every time you turned around, she had a meaningful, but beautifully simple items incorporated into the day. From galvanized steel, to a gifted penny, to pigs- yes- pigs beautifully added in throughout the day. While the reception (with an awesome first dance) received plenty of friends and family at the Macon Community Center, Brett and Jackie had a small bridal party, and intimate ceremony at St Francis in Moweaqua.
Something I discuss with all of my brides is the first look. I see both sides of the equation. From a time standpoint, I recommend it, however, tradition is easy to uphold. In this case, Jackie and Brett decided to go ahead and do one, and I’m so glad they did! Some of the best smiles of the day came from the first look with just the two of them. The first look left us with plenty of time to do the family portraits, bridal party portraits, and then the AMAZING bridals in the Moweaqua Tree Park. I wish I took a behind the scenes image of my sister with her rolled up jeans wading into a stream to get the image on the bridge. And for the first time EVER, we had enough down time to go to Crawford’s in downtown Moweaqua and let the bridal party snack, have a drink, cheers the couple, and get a few pictures around the area.
