A family of four session at River Ranch in Decatur, Il
I’ve known this family for a few years since I did Hannah’s lifestyle maternity session and Haddie’s studio newborn session. Since then, they’ve added another little guy to the mix. So even though Hannah got ahold of me for a different reason, we go a family of four session at River Ranch in Decatur, Il squeezed in for them. If you haven't- check out why I think maternity sessions are a must!
If you haven’t met me yet- I’m a horse girl through and through. I’m lucky enough to have an amazing home barn that has a gorgeous, private property to use for my outdoor sessions. So there may be a mini barn tour AND mini donkey to visit- we’re currently 50/50 whether kids are amazed, or totally overwhelmed by how big our amazing horses are!
But I digress (it happens when I start talking about my horse babies).
Hannah is part of my boudoir group on HGP (if you’d like to join- I’d personally love to have you- make me be more active there!! Click HERE and request to join). She saw a few of the images that we’ve created in the new space and knew she wanted the boudoir experience. While on her discovery call, I threw out there that since hair and makeup is already included in boudoir, and it’s been a minute since she’s updated the family pictures, why not conclude our day with a family session?
Obviously (since we’re here talking about it) it was a yes, and obviously it was perfect! We actually had my hair girl come back after the boudoir session. It was a windy fall day and we wanted to be prepared so we did a modified up-do so it was one less thing to worry about while chasing toddlers.
In the end, she KILLED her boudoir session, and she now owns a gorgeous piece of art in her living room that they all get to enjoy for years to come (but Haddie may have stolen the family session show with the adorable wink). We definitely have another session on the horizon because baby brother was alllll about daddy wanting nothing to do with mommy. One day we get to hold this over him, but for now, we roll with the toddler punches.
Until next time!
